Christopher M. Schlachta BSc, MDCM, FRCSC, FACS is Professor, Department of Surgery and Department of Oncology, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University. Dr. Schlachta’s clinical focus is minimally invasive surgery, including bariatric surgery and laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery. Dr. Schlachta has a research interest in computer technologies for minimally invasive therapies and for simulation training. Dr. Schlachta is Medical Director of Canadian Surgical Technologies and Advanced Robotics (CSTAR) and past President of CAGS, past Governor of the ACS, and current SAGES Executive.
