Dr. Ferreira is a pediatric surgeon who hails from Brazil. She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree from McGill University. Her most recent publication being a systematic review of child and family reported experience measures in pediatric surgery. Dr. Ferreira is an active advocate for gender equity, global surgery, and patient centred care. In alignment with these values, Dr. Ferreira has recently joined the PLOS Global Public Health editorial board, a journal focused on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in health with a global perspective.
