
- Kelly Vogt, MD, MSc, FRCSC
Dr. Kelly Vogt is a Clinician Scientist and Assistant Professor at the University of Western Ontario, and is a general surgeon and Associate Medical Director of the Trauma Program at London Health Sciences Centre.
After graduating from the University of Waterloo with a BSc in Health Studies, Dr. Vogt received her medical degree and general surgery residency training at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University. During her residency, Dr. Vogt also received a MSc in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University. Upon finishing her residency, Dr. Vogt joined the Division of Acute Care Surgery LA County, University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles where she completed a fellowship program in trauma and surgical critical care. Dr. Vogt joined the faculty at London Health Sciences Center in 2014. She is currently working on her PhD in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University.
Dr. Vogt is the current chair of the Department of Surgery Research Committee at Western University. She serves on the Board of Directors of both the Canadian Association of General Surgeons and the Trauma Association of Canada.
Dr. Vogt’s program of research focuses on quality and outcomes in emergency general surgery and trauma with a Canadian health systems lens. Dr. Vogt is the current chair of the Canadian Collaborative on Urgent Care Surgery (CANUCS), and has over 80 peer reviewed publications.
