
- Patrick Reardon
Dr. Patrick R. Reardon obtained his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University, in College Station, Texas. He graduated in three years and enrolled in Baylor College of Medicine in 1979. After completing his medical school, Dr. Reardon was accepted into Dr. DeBakey’s surgery program in 1983. He completed his training in General Surgery in 1988 and in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery with Dr. DeBakey in 1990. Dr. Reardon has been training residents, fellows, and faculty in the art and practice of minimally invasive surgery for over 25 years. Dr. Reardon established one of the first fellowship training programs in the country for advanced minimally invasive surgery at The Houston Methodist Hospital. Dr. Reardon is currently a Professor of Clinical Surgery, Weill Cornell Medical College, Chief of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Chief of the Section of Foregut Surgery in the Department of Surgery at The Houston Methodist Hospital. In addition, he is the Director of the Advanced Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship Training Program for the Department. Dr. Reardon’s clinical interests involve all forms of minimally invasive general and non-cardiac thoracic minimally invasive surgery, including: Surgical treatment of GERD; Barrett’s Esophagus and esophageal cancer; hiatal hernia surgery; bariatric and weight-loss surgery; gallbladder surgery; hernia surgery; and video capture and editing for surgeons.
