I am a trauma and acute care surgeon, general surgeon, and intensivist at the Health Sciences Centre Winnipeg. I completed residency at Dalhousie, and fellowships in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Toronto. Concurrent with my position in Manitoba, I am nearing completion of my PhD at the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Toronto. My primary research interest is management and outcomes in emergency general surgery, predominantly through the use of routinely-collected data. My ongoing thesis work pertains to emergency general surgery outcomes in the setting of solid-organ transplants and the role of facility-type on emergency general surgery outcomes for transplant patients and the general population.
